Architectural Consultants
Major Industries, Inc, an industry-leader in daylighting solutions, is recruiting Architectural Specification Consultants nationwide. Day-to-day responsibilities include architectural promotion, new project and market development, and regional bid follow-up and quote tracking to assist the closure of sales.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 3+ years experience in architectural design, architectural sales or building related technical/engineering skills.
- Experience in product specification development, advanced computer and public speaking skills, and CDT or LEED certifications are a plus.
- Significant e-marketing or telemarketing to architects and owner prospects may be necessary, and a minimum of 50% travel time is required.
- Consultants will take the lead role in expanding the market for Major’s daylighting products while ensuring they are specified or approved before bid day.

Sales Estimator
The Sales Estimator will be responsible for the preparation of estimates, order entry, and providing technical assistance to internal and external customers.
Requirements:
- An associate's degree in mechanical or architectural design or related experience is required.
- Candidate must possess ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, be able to read and understand blueprints, and have strong analytical and computer skills.
- Prior experience in estimating architectural products is preferred.

Design Drafter
This position is responsible for creating accurate drawings based on job specifications, generating submission drawings for customers and architectural approval, and creating shop drawings and bills of material for production.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2011.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Experience with 3D modeling programs, knowledge of architectural and structural elements and an Associate or Bachelor degree in mechanical or architectural design is preferred.
