General Description
Demonstrate a percentage improvement in the proposed building performance rating compared to the baseline building performance rating per ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2004.
Guardian 275®
Guardian 275® translucent panel systems offer exceptional insulating properties with U-values as low as 0.15. Solar Heat Gain is minimized with solar heat gain coefficient values as low as 0.16. UV Transmission is less than 1%. Energy-efficient Guardian 275® translucent skylights and curtainwall minimize heat loss during winter months and reduce the heat gain from direct sunlight during the summer months (which helps to save energy and stabilize HVAC loads). It may be possible to obtain EA credit 1 by incorporating Guardian 275® translucent glazing panels into the buildings natural daylighting requirements.
Auburn® Skylights
Energy-saving Auburn® skylights allow natural sunlight to illuminate interior spaces, thereby saving energy and stabilizing HVAC loads. Auburn® skylights can also be configured with a variety of glazing options, including polycarbonate multi-wall which limits UV transmission while offering enhanced thermal insulating properties. It may be possible to obtain EA credit 1 by incorporating Major Industries' Auburn® skylights into the building's natural daylighting requirements.
