General Description
Minimize light trespass from the building and site, reduce sky-glow to increase night sky access, improve nighttime visibility through glare reduction, and reduce development impact on nocturnal environments.
Guardian 275®
Guardian 275® translucent panel systems are designed to provide quality light management. Light transmission levels and other quality parameters are controlled by color selection and insulation values. Critical elements like Solar Heat Gain are minimized with solar heat gain coefficient values as low as 0.16 (UV Transmission is less than 1%). It may be possible to obtain SS Credit 8 by incorporating Major Industries translucent glazing panels into the buildings natural daylighting requirements.
Auburn® Skylights
Auburn® skylights can be configured to provide quality light management. Light transmission levels and other quality parameters are controlled by glazing selection. It may be possible to obtain SS Credit 8 by incorporating select Major Industries’ Auburn® skylights into the building’s natural daylighting requirements.
