MR Credit 4.1 to 4.2 - Recycled Content
General Description
Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of post-consumer recycled content plus one-half of the pre-consumer content constitutes at least 10%/20% (based on cost) of the total value of the materials in the project.
Guardian 275® and Auburn®
Major Industries' Wisconsin based manufacturing facility is committed to a disciplined program of recycling for all of our materials including aluminum, steel, wood pallets, corrugated packaging, and paper. All scrap materials are sorted and recycled as part of our daily clean up in the plant. As a result of this effort and selective purchasing of materials from responsible vendors, our Guardian 275® Translucent Panel Systems and Auburn® skylights meet both a 20% post-consumer and a 40% post-industrial content by weight. All Major Industries shipping materials can also be collected daily on the jobsite for recycling. It is possible to obtain MR Credit 4.1 & MR Credit 4.2 by incorporating Major Industries' skylight and curtainwall solutions into the building's natural daylighting requirements.
